Jason Sargis, DAOM, Dipl Ac (NCCAOM), C.SMA, LAc, is the President and Director of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine at Total Acupuncture, LLC,Cedar Grove, NJ. In 2008, Dr. Sargis founded Total Acupuncture, LLC, an acupuncture practice that provides well-rounded and thoughtful treatment for all patients. Dr. Sargis’s approach to acupuncture is informed by his clinical studies in Beijing and his background as a biology major at the University of Chicago, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree. Dr. Sargis’s practice focuses on helping people achieve optimal health and well-being in every phase of their healing journey.
Dr. Jason Sargis is committed to excellence in the clinical space by expanding his knowledge base and skill set. Dr. Sargis earned his Doctor of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (DAOM) from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine which focused on women’s health and aging adults. To meet the needs of patients undergoing cancer treatment, he became certified in Oncology Acupuncture through Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Integrative Medicine Service. Dr. Sargis completed the Integrative Musculoskeletal Medicine Externship under the directorship of Dr. Alex Moroz at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine of NYU. A lifelong athlete and martial artist, Dr. Sargis is certified in Sports Medicine Acupuncture. Dr. Sargis is also an expert in Dry Needling and Trigger Point Acupuncture having studied directly under Dr. Mark Seem, developer of Acupuncture Physical Medicine and founder of Tri-State College of Acupuncture. Dr. Sargis has taught classes on myofascial pain and dysfunction to acupuncturists and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residents. Additionally, Dr. Sargis was certified through the Titleist Performance Institute to provide specialized care for golfers and other rotary sports athletes.
Dr. Jason Sargis is a former President and Board Member of the New Jersey Acupuncture Society. Along with his commitment to public health as related to Acupuncture, he has become an advocate for continuing education to the broader healthcare community.
